With the successful conclusion of the first phase, the 135th Canton Fair has showcased remarkable new production capabilities. As of April 18, this event attracted approximately 294,000 online exhibitors from 229 countries and regions, showcasing the latest trends and innovative achievements in global manufacturing.
One of the highlights of this year’s Canton Fair is the active participation of overseas buyers. Around 120,000 overseas buyers attended the fair, marking a 22.7% increase from the previous edition and demonstrating continued interest and confidence in China’s manufacturing industry. Additionally, the optimized structure of participating enterprises is another key feature of this year’s fair. The number of national high-tech enterprises and manufacturing champions among the first-phase exhibitors increased by 33%, while the quantity of high-tech enterprises in smart living, new categories, industrial automation, and other sectors grew by 24.4%, showcasing the innovative vitality and technological prowess of China’s manufacturing industry.
The upgrade of exhibits also reflects the trend towards developing new production capabilities. Over 90,000 smart products were showcased in the first phase, with significant increases in the transaction volume of industrial automation equipment, new energy vehicles, and other products compared to the previous edition. Some products even achieved a doubling in sales. These figures indicate that China’s manufacturing industry is advancing towards intelligence, efficiency, and high quality, demonstrating the industry’s innovation and development potential.
The 135th Canton Fair will continue with its second and third phases, scheduled to be held from April 23-27 and May 1-5 in Guangzhou. These phases will further focus on displaying daily consumer goods, gifts, home decorations, textiles, and other products, providing more choices and business opportunities for domestic and international buyers. The continued hosting of the fair will play a positive role in promoting international trade cooperation, driving industry development, and facilitating global economic recovery.
